When you’re replacing your missing teeth, you want — and need — a custom prosthesis that you can depend on. As your denture specialists, we’re able to provide an individualized partial that looks great and fits securely.
Here are some important things to keep in mind, whether you wear a partial denture or full plate:
Work with a Prosthodontist
Prosthodontists are experts when it comes to designing and fitting dentures. As your reconstructive specialists, our team will help you find a durable partial denture design that functions effectively while also enhancing the aesthetics of your smile. Our Georgia denture experts use carefully chosen materials and lab specialists to ensure a high-quality outcome for each and every patient we serve.
Clean Your Partial as Directed
Harsh chemicals or cleaning agents can scratch or even warp the materials that your partial denture is made from. To keep your appliance bright, soak it in an effervescent denture cleanser overnight to loosen plaque and stain buildup. Brush and rinse it thoroughly the next morning before putting it back in your mouth. And as always, only use lukewarm tap water as hot liquids can change the fit of your “plate”.
Never Sleep in Your Dentures
It’s important to give your oral tissues some time to rest. Wearing your appliance 24-hours-a-day can raise your risk of infections, but it also isn’t good for your gingival tissues and bone health. Taking overnight breaks will extend the amount of time that your prosthesis fits properly.
